Ashley was born a month earlier, weighing less than 3 pounds. Her time in the ICU lasted a month. On Christmas Day, her parents learned that she'd require heart operation. The prayers of her parents were answered on Christmas Day when they went to the doctors and learned that Ashley's heart had been shut. Ashley was not required to undergo surgery. Her hospitalization lasted two months, and she weighted 4 1/2lbs when she went home. Since her release, she's never had any illness! Her father's family is English as well as German. The family that she is from is from Ireland. In 2002, she made her debut in an advertisement for the Salon Surprise Barbie Doll. Ashley was initially approached by the Ford Modeling Agency when she turned eight. She has worked consistently and remains at the Agency. As early as 10 when she was 10, she realized that acting was the way she would like to go. Ashley went on to do 35 commercials, and then on to theatrical roles. Ashley had found her passion. Ashley focused all her attention to acting. It left little time for modelling and dancing. Ashley is best known for her role as Hannah Marin on ABC's Pretty Little Liars. Ashley was in Romeo Miller's (aka Lil Romeo), as well as Solange's "True Love", music video. Britney Spears appeared in the Vogue Magazine shoot. In the NLT music video "That Girl", she appears.
